Soccer Saturdays

We love that Enterprise finally got a soccer league! The kids LOVE it! I love it! They get so much exercise and really enjoy it to. I enjoy watching. The hard part though is that they are on different teams (they are grouped by ages) but they play at the same time. So far it has worked out that Curtis can take his lunch hour at that time and then we split up and switch back and forth. I think that they have done pretty good and are getting better with each game. Both Sammy and Austin say that their favorite part is when they get to play goalie.

We all try to get involved. Here is Taryne doing an equipment check. :)

Sammy's Debut!

Last year Samantha went to the dance camp that the Wolverines put on, and then they get to perform in a high school football game halftime. She had a lot of fun so she was way excited when they held another one last week. I am posting the video of her performance at the football game on Friday. She had so much fun and did a good job.

Happy Harvest!

It is that time of year that we are harvesting gardens! The kids are pretty good at helping with and when we let them. Austin really liked "peeling" corn. Sammy likes to organize and help, especially helping Grandma make tomato soup. Taryne is over quality control, and taste tests everything.

I am thankful to Mom and Dad for all the work that they put into the garden. I really do try to help when I can, but they end up doing most the work. I really appreciate that they are willing to share the bounty with us.

More Cakes!

The last two weekend I have been VERY busy making cakes! It is a lot of work but I have fun doing it. I made four cakes and was satisfied with the outcome of all of them, and I believe that everyone that received them was also happy with them. I want to thank everyone that helped me get them done. Curtis, my parents, and Jenn-Thank You!

Our Labor Day Campout

Okay I am trying to do a little catch up. Over the Labor Day weekend I took the kids up to Honeycomb Rocks to camp with my family for a night. Curtis had to work so I left our stuff and we were going to go back up Sunday night but the weather was not good. Anyways we had fun! We rode 4-wheelers, ate A LOT of smores, played games, and made a new friend! :)

My dad was watching this squirrel come into our camp and take off with crumbs. So Trav had some nuts in his truck and threw a couple on the ground and then just held the rest in his hand. When the squirrel came down it found the nuts and then went over to Trav and took the nuts RIGHT OUT OF HIS HAND!! It kept doing this over and over with whoever had the nuts in their hand. Now this squirrel was a FAT one and it was probably because he knew what he was doing. He would STUFF as many (I think we counted 28 one time) in his mouth before heading back to its home.

Bundy Family

On Labor Day, my mom had all her family up for a BBQ. We had a lot of fun, anf ate a lot of yummy food!

Corn Fest

Saturday, August 23rd, was the annual Enterprise Corn Fest! What a busy but fun day! The fun started the night before when Curtis took the kids to the first home football game and then their friend Juel got to spend the night. Austin's good buddy Juel came from his new house up north and got to spend the Corn Fest with us. They had so much fun! :)

We began the day by going and watching Curtis in the softball tournament.

Then we went to the Holt's and ate some lunch. The scones and corn were yummy! After that we went up to the festivities. The kids had a lot of fun on the bounce houses and slides.

They liked this hamster wheel thing too. Not sure why-all they did was fall on each other the whole time!

Anytime we have gone to fairs and such, Sammy has always wanted to climb the rock wall. She wanted to here and said she would use here own money so I let her. She did REALLY GOOD! She got all the way up there!

Sammy on the velcro wall UPSIDE DOWN! :)...

Austin stuck to the velcro wall...

and Juel stuck to the velcro wall!

After playing at the Corn Fest we went to my parents and my mom had bought Taryne a cute little pool that she loved! She loves the water!

And the other kids played with some soakers.

In all it was a fun day. We went to the Dutch Oven Dinner and then back to my Parents for Ice Cream and Cake for WADES BIRTHDAY!
