Today Austin went to his first day of KINDERGARTEN!! Our boy is growing up! :) Anyways, instead of me taking him, he wanted to ride Grandma Susy's bus and go to breakfast and then to class by himself. I knew he knew how to get to his class so I let him. He was so cute-he said he was finally going to get to see what it looked like inside the bus. :) He said his two favorite things at school today was computers and painting.

An Over Achiever Maybe?

(I took this picture on my phone so it's a little blurry.)
For the past week or so Taryne has had a runny nose and has been waking up during the night here and there, and then Sunday night she ran a fever that got up to 102. I figured she was probably teething but maybe had some of the cold the Samantha and Austin have had too. Yesterday I was checking to see if I could spot a tooth coming through.....YEAH I spotted FOUR!! Yep she is cutting FOUR teeth at once! So she is going from 2 teeth to 4 all at once. But honestly she has only been maybe a tiny bit grumpy, when she has every reason to be TOTAL BEAR!

I figure she decided she better get some more teeth for that YUMMY corn on the cob. :)

It's Finally Here!

Today Sammy went to her first day of SECOND GRADE! I know huh-I can't believe it either! She was glad to get to be in Mrs. Bingham's class. I asked her what her favorite part of the day was and she said that it was how close their classroom was! Don't ask me-but her class is in one of the portables or "condos" as they call them and they were having struggles maintaining a good temperature.

End of Summer Hooray!

Last weekend we took a little Family Summer Vacation. We went to Salt Lake and went to Hogle Zoo. That was Friday. Saturday we went school shopping and got a lot of that done. Sunday we took the kids to Temple Square. It was fun to see the Conference Center. We visited some of Curtis' family that day too. That night we finally went swimming in the hotel pool- we honestly could just stay in a hotel and do nothing but swim and the kids would LOVE it.

Monday on our way home we stopped and hiked up Timpanogos and took the cave tour. That was a lot of fun! The kids did so good! And if anyone has hiked it, they know it is not an easy hike. Curtis carried Taryne the entire way-so sweet! After that we left and went straight to St. George for Curt's softball games. It was a packed weekend, but a fun weekend.

Celebrating the 24th!

I guess I am a little behind on my blogging-but what can I say-I will spare you my excuses. :)
Yeah, the 24th of July was almost 2 weeks ago but I still wanted to post about the fun we had.
We began with the Fun Run-I use the word "Fun" lightly-just kidding it really was. Curtis signed us up for the walk and so we got up early and walked the Fun Run. I know it makes all the sense in the world. But we made it! I jogged with Curtis for a few block and then told him to go ahead and ditch me because I was about to die! He ran most of the last mile!
Then we took the kids to the parade. We always sit at the very first. So this year the kids got to watch the parade and chase after candy (That is how I get the candy to pass out for Halloween-TOTALLY KIDDING!) and then at the end they hopped onto the firetruck with Curtis and rode it through the parade.

The races were fun! The kids get their quickness from me! LOL!
It was Taryne's first year but she doesn't really like to crawl on the grass so grandma helped her walk it.
After the races the Fire Dept. does a coin dive for the kids. Sammy was pretty excited for that AND she got 11 cents!

That night we were excited that they told us we could do fireworks here in town.
Austin didn't want to come outside at first but as you can see he eventually came out and joined in in all the fun.

My San Francisco Trip

I finally sorted through my pictures and picked some of my favorites from our San Francisco trip a week ago. I had so much fun! There was a lot to see. Just a note for anyone who has not been but wants to go someday-apparently September is the time of year to go. As you can see by what we are wearing in our pictures-July ain't all that warm. :)

To jump or not to jump? Better make a call!

It was really neat to see the Golden Gate bridge! It is so high!
Can you tell it is a bit cold and windy?
These are pictures from the Ghost Hunt/history tour. I say history tour because we sure as heck didn't get to see any ghost. :(

Fort Point was a lot of fun! April, Cindy, Jenn, and I learned how to load and fire a cannon, and then received our certificate along with the requirement that if there is ever another civil war we are to show up.

DEFINITELY had to ride one of the old Cable Cars! Yeah Rice-A-Roni! Cindy wouldn't let us sing the song. :) That was defiantly a highlight if you ask me.

We took the tour at Alcatraz. Very interesting!

A BIG HUGE THANK YOU to Curtis and everyone that helped watch the kids while I was gone. I REALLY appreciate it! Thank You! :)
